 242 Main Street originally started off as my grandfathers cobbler shop
My father, Billy, came in as a boy to shine shoes. He has seen Kendall Square grow to be the friendly , fast paced technology environment that it is today.Eventually, my parents took it over and as they fixed shoes, they saw a need for
some brightness and cheer in the square, so they decided to sell flowers on the sidewalk. It started off as a bucket or two, people began to stop in on their way home from work and pick up a small bouquet for the house....and so began the Kendall Flower Shop. |

  I also grew up in this shop. I remember as a teenager, taking days off frm school to help out on Valentines Day! I fell in love with this shop and this square and am so proud
to be here now , bringing my own two children in here with me, where they, no doubt, will love it as much as I do. It is a wonderful thing to grow up around all the beautiful scents and scenes.
